• Ages: 5–18 years old

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The organization states that it fills the gap between school and home for youth ages 5–18 and that everyone is welcome. It provides resources, spaces, and mentors that best serve the child regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, family status, or background, and it describes a world-class Club experience vision that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters their doors, with the phrase “Once a Club kid, always a Club kid.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend’s first Club was established in 1957, and the organization notes it is celebrating 68 years of changing and saving lives. The Greenwood Unit opened in 1969 and is still operational today. Interim CEO Dr. Ralph Silva and Board President Ben Molina lead the organization.

In 2024, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend served over 3,600 youth at 17 locations, including the Greenwood Unit and 16 on-site after-school programs at Flour Bluff ISD, Ingleside ISD, and Corpus Christi ISD. Walmart Greenwood selected Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend for a donation during their special Grand Opening Day. The organization has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation during their Fall 2025 grant cycle. Interim CEO Dr. Ralph Silva and Board President Ben Molina read to students at Gloria Hicks Elementary School during their Drop Everything and Read event.
