Coder Kids

Coder Kids offers coding classes, summer camps, private tutoring lessons, gaming clubs, and digital arts classes. Students can work with Scratch Jr., Scratch, Modding Minecraft with Java, Arduino boards, Python programming, web development, app development, and gaming camps in Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite. Digital arts classes include drawing, video editing, and creating 3D objects.

About the provider

Coder Kids has operated since 2016. Its mission statement says that learning how to code engages kids’ minds in critical thinking and prepares them for an increasingly tech-driven world. The program also says it offers scholarships so more children can learn to code or explore technology, and it has partnered with schools to provide courses and free curriculum ideas and content for low-income schools throughout Houston.

Classes are for grades K through 8th in-person in the Houston, TX area. Online classes have a low student-to-teacher ratio of 8 students to 1 teacher, and sometimes even lower. Students from all over the country are welcome in online classes.
