Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Programs

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Programs centers activities around the Girl Scout Promise and Law, which are often recited at the start of a troop meeting or gathering. Participants take part in Girl Scouts activities that show them they can do anything, and the program involves the whole family as part of Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Programs follows the mission that Girl Scouts create the world they want to live in and strive to make it better every single day. Participants explore their strengths, take on new challenges, and can always be themselves, regardless of background or ability. The program is supported by adult volunteers and mentors in the community, as well as millions of alums around the globe. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Programs emphasizes the Girl Scout Promise: “On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law,” with members allowed to substitute for the word God in accordance with their own spiritual beliefs. It also emphasizes the Girl Scout Law: “I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.”
