The Museum offers year-round programming to supplement the lessons of the Holocaust, including community outreach and cultural activities, and relies on grants, membership dues, donations, and annual fundraisers. The El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center is one of only 13 free-standing Holocaust museums in the United States and is the only fully bilingual Holocaust museum. Its permanent exhibit includes multi-media galleries chronicling events of the Holocaust, and the Robert & Sara Shiloff Library & Study Center is open to the public with thousands of Holocaust-related books for research purposes. A permanent exhibition called Dimensions in Testimony, developed by the USC Shoah Foundation, offers a conversational experience between visitors and survivors’ testimonies. Recent granting organizations include the City of El Paso’s Museums and Cultural Affairs Department, the Jewish Federation of El Paso, the Robert and Evelyn McKee Foundation, and the Shiloff Family Foundation.
