One River School Art & Design Classes

One River School Art & Design Classes offers drawing, painting, mixed media, digital art, photography, video, iPad classes, and studio art. Students can work with a variety of media, including graphite, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, collage, oil painting, gouache, and charcoal. Signature programs include Art Shuffle® and Digital Art Shuffle®.

Art Shuffle® is a curriculum-based program of month-long projects focused on growing skills in drawing, painting, and mixed media, and includes a day of material exploration with a related prompt for a finished artwork. Art Shuffle® is described as having a social and relaxed atmosphere that is beneficial for stress relief and offers a low-pressure environment. Art Shuffle® Plus offers a personalized approach where creative goals and personal interests guide the work, with open studio classes for intermediate to advanced students to work on projects of their choosing and receive expert feedback and friendly group critique from versatile and knowledgeable mentors.

Classes are led by practicing artists, animators, and designers who bring real-world experience and industry insights into every class. The program includes small class sizes, individualized attention, and warm, inclusive spaces for all skill levels, with adult, teen, and kids classes and all ages and all levels welcome. High quality art supplies are included with the monthly class subscription, with photography, video, and iPad classes requiring each student to bring their own camera or iPad, and students are recommended to arrive 5 minutes early on their first day and just bring themselves to class.
