YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Youth Programs

YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Youth Programs include more than 20 day camps and the Adventure Guides Program, where dads and children participate together. The programs are part of a larger network that also includes YMCA Camp Grady Spruce, which is described as a premier resident camp. Across the association, there are over 250 programs offered to support mind, body, and spirit through a wide range of activities.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) social services organization that serves almost 200,000 people annually through programs, outreach, and events in Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Palo Pinto, and Rockwall counties. It has been serving the community for more than 135 years and operates 16 state-of-the-art YMCA locations across the Metro Dallas area. The organization states that it is dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility and emphasizes volunteerism, outreach programs, and partnerships as part of its community involvement. One YMCA parent, Mayela, shared that during a divorce and transition to one income, the YMCA provided a scholarship so her son could play baseball. Another participant, Shirley, reported that through a YMCA Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program, she learned her blood pressure was in the danger zone and had her medication modified.
