YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Youth Programs include Youth Sports, Adventure Guides, After School, Safety Around Water Program, Summer Learning Academy, Resident and Day Camps, and Youth Fitness Programs. The program also offers swim programs, fitness classes, martial arts, aerobics, PWRFIT, esports in an Esports Gaming Lab, and activities such as gaga ball, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and racquetball. Children and families have access to facilities and amenities such as a gymnasium, indoor and outdoor pools, splash pad and sprayground, playground, athletic fields, outdoor playing fields and an outdoor soccer field, indoor and outdoor tracks, group exercise studios, a cycle and spin class studio, a functional fitness area and functional training room, strength and cardio equipment, a weight room, courts, Childwatch, preschool, and meeting and rental spaces.

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas reports over 135 years serving the community and almost 200,000 people served annually through programs, outreach, and events across Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Palo Pinto, and Rockwall counties. According to the organization, over 7,000 people learned life-saving water skills in the Safety Around Water Program in Summer 2024, over 2,900 children attended camp in Summer 2024, and the Summer Learning Academy took place in 3 school districts in Summer 2024. The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas states that it offers over 250 programs and operates 16 state-of-the-art YMCA locations across Metro Dallas.

The organization also reports that thousands of children received backpacks, supplies, haircuts, exams, and more at YMCA back-to-school fairs.

One parent, Mayela, shared that during a divorce and transition to one income, the Y provided a scholarship for her son to play baseball. Another participant, Shirley from the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program, reported that staff support led to discovering that her blood pressure was in the danger zone and to a change in her medication.
