Dad’s Club Swim Lessons is part of Dad’s Club Aquatics, which offers swim lessons, a swim team, developmental training, specialty fitness, instructional programs, certification programs, seasonal clinics, water exercise classes, and a six-week swimming technique clinic called Streamline. The program is offered at a membership-based, non-profit organization that serves over 500 swimmers a day and includes lifeguard and CPR training and certification through its Safety Academy for swimmers 15 and up.

Dad’s Club Aquatics was founded in 1948 as a youth center, and a pool on the site officially opened in 1953. Dad’s Club Aquatics is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023 and describes itself as Houston’s most historic swimming and aquatics facility with 75 years of excellence. The organization states that it is community driven, with longstanding connections to the community and support from local foundations, fundraising events, personal donations by board members, and sponsors such as Make-a-Splash Foundation, Veritex Community Bank, Blackburn Photography, Cadence Bank, Menger Valve, Super Fast, Nicole Christensen Realtor, Truist Wealth, Kwik Kar Oil and Lub, Greater Houston Orthodontics, Town and Country Family-Physicians, Calderwood Trusted Vision, Veritex Bank, Kwik Kar, Greater Houston Ortho, Town Country Family Physics, and Calderwood. The Dad’s Club Swim Team is nationally recognized and is a member of USA Swimming. The mission of Dad’s Club Aquatics states that through the sport of swimming and a family-friendly atmosphere, the organization celebrates individual accomplishment and promotes personal responsibility to teach life lessons that benefit the individual and community beyond the pool’s edge. Linda Kutac serves as Executive Director and is licensed as a Registered Nurse with advanced nursing certifications in mental health and substance abuse.
