Legacy Martial Arts offers Tang Soo Do instruction with a focus on self-defense. The program includes classes that specialize in Tang Soo Do instruction and does not focus on or train for tournament-style competitions. Free trial classes are available, and classes are offered in a safe training environment where everyone feels comfortable and ready to learn.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm
Legacy Martial Arts has over 13 years of service in the Huntsville area and surrounding communities, and has specialized in Tang Soo Do instruction since 2012. The program operates as a fully licensed and insured after-school facility and offers an after-school program, day camp, summer camp, and the Ignite after-school program. Kyo Sa Nim Don Barnard leads the program, has been practicing martial arts for 45 years, has earned black belts in Hapkido, Tae Kwan Do, and Tang Soo Do, and opened his first Tang Soo Do school in 2001 and the current school in August 2012. The stated mission includes enhancing the community through personal development skills from training, providing a safe haven of positive energy and support for students’ mental and physical growth, inspiring personal excellence through the example of black belts in and out of the studio, and ensuring long-term growth of the school and staff through student service.
