Atomic Adventures is a Summer STEAM program designed to engage students with the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Technology. The program operates as a screen-free STEAM environment with screen-free fun and offers 13 high-energy, screen-free STEAM camps. Outdoor play and movement are an integral part of the program.
Atomic Adventures LLC is a Texas-based STEAM summer program founded in 2022 by Mandy Delbello and Scott Creek. Founded in 2022, it brings 13 high-energy, screen-free STEAM camps to four locations: Katy, Richmond, Houston (Memorial), and Sugar Land. Since its inception, Atomic Adventures has ignited a love for STEAM in young learners in Katy and has grown to serve the communities of Richmond, Sugarland, Fulshear, and Houston.
Every camp is led by a state-certified teacher. Staff are certified in first aid, CPR, and behavior management, and campers are always supervised by qualified educators. The program maintains low staff-to-child ratios, uses daily health screenings, frequent handwashing, and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces, and follows emergency procedures, including first aid and evacuation plans. The mission of Atomic Adventures is to empower young minds to explore, innovate, and excel in STEAM by creating dynamic, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of discovery.
Parent testimonials describe a thoughtfully curated curriculum focused on STEAM education and note that the certified educators engage children and show genuine care for their well-being and development. Parents report clear communication with families and describe the environment as safe and structured while keeping campers encouraged to explore and learn. Families highlight that the camp is completely screen-free, that staff are attentive, and that children come home excited to share projects, building projects, outdoor games, and other activities from the day. Parents also mention new fun experiments every day, hands-on science activities, and children bringing home creations and activities they completed, with some calling the experience a game-changer and expressing eagerness to return.
