Connolly Dance Arts

Connolly Dance Arts offers dance classes and master classes in a variety of dance disciplines. Dancers at Connolly Dance Arts attend conventions and perform and compete at area and national levels through the CDA Company. The CDA Company also performs in charity benefits and shows throughout the area.

Connolly Dance Arts has been serving the Houston community since 1990, with the CDA Company established in 1994, and is celebrating 36 years of dance at CDA. Summer enrollment begins February 9th, and a free trial class is available. All students ages 5 and enrolled at Connolly Dance Arts are invited to audition for the competitive company team, and company dancers train at the studio year-round. The CDA Company consists of a full team plus five smaller teams: Crystal (ages 5–9), Slate (ages 9–12), Chrome (ages 11–14), Onyx (ages 11–18), Diamond (ages 13–18), and Sterling (ages 14–18). A Company Audition Workshop is held two days prior to audition day and is required, and this workshop teaches dancers audition etiquette and prepares them for the audition process. Private auditions are available upon request. The CDA Performing Company provides dancers with the opportunity to take master classes from world-renowned instructors. The program describes its environment as a “home-away-from-home” and states that its performance experiences help dancers develop self-discipline, gain confidence, and feel success and pride in their accomplishments, combining dance education with positive feedback in a fun and energetic setting so every student can feel important and learn to express themselves through dance.
