Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council Programs include activities such as the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors challenge and the Discover Aviation patch program. Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council Programs take place at the Goodykoontz Museum of Girl Scout History. The program’s mission statement explains that Girl Scouts discover who they are, tap into the power inside them, and build the confidence to let it shine, and that through programs from coast to coast and overseas, girls of all backgrounds and abilities come as they are and create their own paths. The mission statement also notes that each step becomes part of the journey as girls explore their passions, develop hands-on skills, and discover tools they need to lead with joy on their own terms, and that they discover their strengths in science labs and on hiking trails, at cookie booths, and in front of city councils. The mission statement further states that, backed by volunteers, mentors, and millions of alums, Girl Scouts are part of a lifelong sisterhood of powerful change-makers who are always on their side, and that the world deserves to see their full potential and they deserve to experience it. The Get Ready with Girl Scouts Program is available for girls entering kindergarten or first grade who sign up by July 31 and includes three activity books delivered to their door.
