Camp Lone Star offers summer camp experiences that include overnight and day camp options, family camp, and an Adventure Woods day camp program. The program includes Christ-centered experiences that use intentional time in God’s Word, time in creation, and adventurous activities to draw spiritual connections. Camp Lone Star serves groups from a variety of backgrounds and reaches beyond its campuses to serve those who otherwise would not have the opportunity to have a camp experience.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
Since 1941, Camp Lone Star has served guests through summer camp and other programs. The program serves over 12,000 guests annually and offers overnight and day camp opportunities for campers ages 5–18, as well as family camp for all ages. Adventure Woods provides a day camp experience for campers ages 6–12. Camp Lone Star states that it is passionate about planting seeds of faith, cultivating Christian leaders, and growing the kingdom of God, and describes its mission as transforming lives through adventurous Christ-centered experiences. It cultivates leaders through summer staff and junior staff programs that teach and equip participants to lead by serving others in humility for the glory of God. The program describes providing an atmosphere of authenticity in relationships and an atmosphere of love, where participants experience personal and spiritual breakthroughs and growth in Christ. Camp Lone Star partners with organizations and ministries to design experiences that foster growth for their participants, combining the truth of scripture with tangible activities.
