Alla Prima Youth Art Program

Alla Prima Youth Art Program includes Summer Camps, a Youth Art Program, Art Kits, and Parties & Events. Kids work with paint such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, and gouache; ceramics including wheel throwing, hand building, and sculpture; as well as crafts, graphite and charcoal, printmaking, and ink. The program also offers specific watercolor projects like the Pop Art Pet portrait, the Rainbow Portrait, and the Watercolor Galaxy Painting project, and some of these projects are available as Art Kits that are delivered to the home.

Brooke Treadwell is the owner and creative director of Alla Prima. Brooke studied Fine Art and Design at Texas State University and graduated with a BFA. Emily has been teaching art for 8 years and has a Fine Art background with a focus in drawing and painting from a university. Katy is a recent Architecture graduate from Texas A&M. Alla Prima is described as home to the largest variety of art mediums and classes in the county, and the Alla Prima Youth Art Program is described as “The perfect combination of fine art education and FUN!” For Pop Art Pet, Rainbow Portrait, and similar Art Kits, families email a photo after ordering, and the kit includes a pre-drawn portrait; the Watercolor Galaxy Painting kit is described as “Fun for ALL AGES! Adult participation recommended for children under 8.”
