Illusion Dance Center

Illusion Dance Center offers a range of dance activities, including an Advanced Dance Intensive, Jazz Master Class, Princess Dance Camp, Aerial Clinic, 13+ Dance Team Prep Camp, Advanced Choreo Class, and Summer Intensives. The program also offers an Intermediate/Advanced Contemporary Master Class, Aerial Workshop, a 6-weeks summer session, and a Spring Recital. Studios are equipped with floating/cushioned marley dance floors, and the facility includes large observation windows, a spacious lobby, ample parking, and convenient class times.

• Schedule: 6-weeks summer session, with 2024–2025 office hours Monday 10:00am–9:00pm, Tuesday 9:30am–9:00pm, Wednesday 11:00am–9:00pm, Thursday 10:00am–9:00pm, Saturday 9:00am–12:00pm
• Price: $60/day drop-in for Advanced Dance Intensive; 1 day of camp equals 4 punches on summer punch card; $35 per dancer for Intermediate/Advanced Contemporary Master Class; $30 per dancer for Jazz Master Class with Sophie Bartkiewicz; $35 for one Aerial Workshop class or $60 for both.

Illusion Dance Center has served the community and children of New Braunfels for 10 years and states that it is proud to have had this opportunity. Instructors specialize in the form and style of dance they are teaching and regularly meet for training and continuing education. The program offers a free trial class, enforces class size limits, and offers a variety of classes in all age levels and abilities, with students placed according to their needs, age, and level. All students participate in a professional Spring Recital each year, and the studio offers a “Hassle Free” Recital Program that includes tickets for students, all rehearsal fees, a free t-shirt, free major costume alterations, and more for a low, affordable fee. Costume fees are dependent on the costume chosen for the class, with no flat costume fees. The program offers a competitive company for dancers aged Kindergarten and up, and all dancers are welcome to audition with no invitation required, and it also offers a recreational program that focuses on true fundamentals of dance while emphasizing fun. The director is available to parents and students and takes pride in providing quality dance instruction in the studio atmosphere and community. The studio offers a summer punch card option that allows participation without a weekly commitment.

Illusion Dance Center states that it prides itself in providing wholesome, age-appropriate dance instruction and education, and that it strives to provide the most recent, cutting-edge, correct instruction for students of all levels and ages in a positive and safe environment. The studio states that it believes dance classes are about more than just learning to dance, that they help students develop life skills and important values while also promoting a positive self-image, and that its policy is to provide high standards of cutting-edge, correct dance education while maintaining a fun, wholesome, and positive environment for everyone. The studio also states that students will learn how to respect and have pride in themselves, their fellow classmates, and their instructors in a positive environment with structure and encouragement, and that dance is not just good for the body, but also for the soul and for mental health and development, which they make a priority to remember and encourage within the classroom.
