Kinderdance Austin offers classes that combine dance, motor development, gymnastics, and fitness activities for children. Each class is taught using lesson plans that include original and traditional age-appropriate music and songs, along with numbers, colors, shapes, words, and songs.
• Ages: 2–12 years old
• Schedule: Fall 2026 sessions with weekday morning and evening class options, plus Saturday morning classes; sessions run on specific date ranges including September 1–29, September 9–October 7, October 14–November 18, December 2–January 13 (no class December 23 or 30), and January 20–February 17.
Heather Hardesty owns Kinderdance Austin and has been bringing Kinderdance to the Austin area since 2003. She started dancing at age 3 and began teaching at age 16, with training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary dance. She holds a degree in Public Relations and Dance from Texas Tech University, continues to attend teacher training and workshops every year, and has been an instructor at Cedar Park Dance Company since 2002. Her stated goal is for a child to discover their passion for dance by taking their first Kinderdance class, and she believes a child’s first dance class is the most important in their dance journey. Ms. Heather was awarded Franchisee of the Year 2022 through Kinderdance International.
Many Kinderdance Austin lessons are taught on-site in child care facilities during the regular learning day, and other classes are offered at city recreation centers in the surrounding Austin area. Ms. Heather volunteers at the Baca Senior Center in Round Rock and sings soprano with the Round Rock Community Choir.
