Kinderdance Austin specializes in education through dance, motor development, gymnastics, and fitness programs for children ages 2–12. In a child care environment, Kinderdance programs are designed to be an integral part of a preschooler’s school day, and the syllabus material bolsters classroom learning by tapping into a child’s innate desire for movement. The scheduling option is structured so that families can keep weekday evenings and weekends free for time together.

The owner of Kinderdance Austin is Heather Hardesty, whose training includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary dance. She holds a degree in Public Relations and Dance from Texas Tech University and continues to attend teacher training and workshops every year to stay current with teaching techniques and trends. She has also been an instructor at Cedar Park Dance Company since 2002 and has been bringing Kinderdance to the Austin area since 2003. Heather Hardesty states, “I firmly believe that a child’s first dance class is the most important in their dance journey. This will determine how they feel about dance and if they will continue. My goal is for a child to discover their passion for dance by taking their first Kinderdance class.”

Ms. Heather was awarded Franchisee of the Year 2022 through Kinderdance International. Many Kinderdance lessons are taught on-site in child care facilities during the regular learning day, and other classes are offered at recreation centers in the surrounding Austin area. Ms. Heather volunteers at the Baca Senior Center in Round Rock and sings soprano with the Round Rock Community Choir. Kinderdance programs are presently being taught in thousands of locations to thousands of children throughout the United States and the world.

One parent testimonial states, “The owner of this company has an amazing love for children and is constantly striving to give young children the best start in their dance education. I would highly recommend Kinderdance Austin to anyone in the area.” – Lisa Shed.
