Thanksgiving Point STEM Programs include hands-on experiences such as the Livestock Learning Lab, where children can milk a cow and pet a rabbit, and explore the Alfalfa Climber and Play Patch Playground. Children can visit Mountain America Jurassic Jungle, an indoor prehistoric play world with five stories of interactive fun and the five-story Volcano Slide, and they can also experience Lab Live and Paleo Studio. Additional activities include exploring Butterfly Biosphere with its Butterfly Conservatory and leafcutter ants, visiting Ashton Gardens and The Tree of Life, and engaging with more than 400 hands-on exhibits at the Museum of Natural Curiosity, along with rides on The Carousel and seasonal events such as the Tulip Festival and Ice Age Creamery.

All daily STEM Discovery programs are free for Thanksgiving Point Members and included with venue admissions.
Admission to Mountain America Jurassic Jungle is always free for members only with an online advanced reservation.

Thanksgiving Point STEM Programs follow the mission “We ignite curiosity and build confidence in children from all backgrounds through hands-on STEM programs and experiences.” Thanksgiving Point is described as a community-led nonprofit foundation helping Utah’s kids, and Thanksgiving Point Institute is a nonprofit organization. The organization offers seven discovery venues across 155 acres, including Curiosity Farms, Mountain America Jurassic Jungle, Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, Butterfly Biosphere, Ashton Gardens, the Museum of Natural Curiosity, and The Carousel. Curiosity Farms is described as a real working farm in the heart of Silicon Slopes showcasing the newest and coolest advancements in agriculture, and Play Patch Playground is described as an incredible all-abilities play area. Mountain America Jurassic Jungle is described as Utah’s largest indoor prehistoric playground and includes a wearable data wristband that tracks progress as missions are completed and allows collecting points to redeem for a prize. Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life is described as having one of the world’s largest collections of mounted dinosaurs and as one of the best dinosaur museums in Utah. Butterfly Biosphere is described as an insectarium and conservatory that is home to over a thousand butterflies from around the world and includes thousands of butterflies and dozens of insects from around the world. Ashton Gardens is described as Utah’s Desert Oasis, featuring 50 acres of stately gardens, grand lawns, and the largest manmade waterfall in America. The Museum of Natural Curiosity is described as one of Utah’s most interactive and unique museums with more than 400 hands-on, fun, and family-friendly exhibits. The Carousel is described as Utah’s newest and coolest carousel ride with 30 hand-painted horses. Birthday parties are available at Curiosity Farms and Mountain America Jurassic Jungle.
