About

The Fairfax Collegiate Summer Program offers courses in math, writing, science, public speaking, film and photo, engineering, drones and robotics, sims and VR, digital labs, Python and AI, game development, digital design, TJ and ACL prep, and SAT and ACT prep. Math options include Pre-Algebra; Algebra I; Geometry; Algebra II; Precalculus; AB and BC Calculus; Multivariable Calculus; Linear Algebra; Algebra I: Intro to Algebra; Geometry: Intro to Geometry; Algebra II: Intro to Algebra II; Precalculus: Intro to Precalculus; and Calculus: Intro to Calculus. The program also offers SAT Prep: The Hard Problems, preparation for Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology admissions, guidance on crafting Student Portrait Sheet and Problem-Solving essays, preparation for Academies of Loudoun (AOS and AET) admissions, and preparation for the STEM Thinking Skills Assessment and the ACL Writing Assessment. Courses are built around creative activities that are described as captivating and entertaining, as well as informative.

Summer in-person classes start June 22. Small classes are available both in-person and online via Zoom. Fairfax Collegiate Math Care meets weekly, and families pay only for meetings attended. Fall online class sections start October 31 for TJ Prep, and fall online class sections start September 12 for ACL Prep.

Since 1993, the Fairfax Collegiate Summer Program has provided challenging and engaging courses. Thousands of students attend Fairfax Collegiate programs each year, and Fairfax Collegiate has taught thousands of students over the last 30 years and will deliver effective in-person test prep. Summer Program instructors include undergraduate and graduate students at leading universities, as well as area public and private school teachers. Each instructor has authoritative knowledge of his or her subject area and experience teaching children, takes into account each student's interests and needs, and students are able to get help from an instructor at any time. The program also notes, “Have Fun and Learn! • For Rising Grades 4 to 12,” and offers new Summer Open Houses.
