Kaizen MMA Kids Programs is part of a gym that has been teaching martial arts in Northern Virginia since 2001, with 25 years of proven success. The founder and head coach, Nima Mazhari, has been teaching martial arts in Northern Virginia for more than two decades, and the coaches have trained athletes who have competed in the UFC, Bellator, and ONE Championship. The program follows the Kaizen principle of continuous improvement, described as small gains compounded daily into something unmistakable.
Kaizen MMA offers kids programs for ages 4 to 17 with age-appropriate instruction, as well as programs for adults, and it operates as a screen-free zone where friendships form. The organization runs an After School program and a Summer Camp program, and it provides a free trial with the first week free. One membership works at six locations across Northern Virginia, and the gym describes its coaching as world-class.
Kaizen MMA’s work with Northern Virginia families has been covered by Fox 5, WTOP News, Falls Church News-Press, Fairfax Connection, Vienna Living, Washington Family Magazine, and Patch, and Kaizen has been featured on Fox News and in other local and national press. Families are advised that kids can attend in athletic clothes such as shorts or joggers and a t-shirt, that most martial arts classes are done barefoot with no special shoes needed, and that bringing a water bottle and a towel is recommended.
Parent testimonials describe experiences with Little Lions, Young Lions, the After School program, Summer Camp, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and MMA at Kaizen MMA. These testimonials mention shy children participating in Little Lions, kids and teens in Young Lions and teen programs, parents using the After School program, and families returning to the Summer Camp program.
