Potomac Music offers private lessons, Kindermusik, group classes, KeyNotes Piano Classes, summer camps, Single Day Camps, and other Music Programs. The program also provides instrument rentals for band and orchestra instruments and full-sized guitars for use in lessons, and carries method books, music, and supplies from brands such as Hal Leonard, Alfred Publishing, Kun, Everest, D'Addario, and DR Strings.

Potomac Music is co-owned by John Morrison and Annie Matis. Annie Matis is a Violin and Viola Instructor, Program Director, and Co-Founder, and John Morrison is a Guitar, Piano, and Ukulele Instructor, KeyNotes and Kindermusik teacher, and Co-Founder. Both are described as seasoned private teachers with established studios and years of experience teaching in Northern Virginia.

Potomac Music opened in Lorton Station Town Center in January 2020 and moved to Workhouse Arts Center in March of 2026. The studio includes 11 oversized, newly renovated lesson rooms with floor to ceiling windows, fast Internet, a diaper changing table, comfortable waiting areas, Boston Pianos designed by Steinway & Sons, Yamaha Digital Pianos, a Roland Digital Baby Grand Piano, professional audio equipment, electric and acoustic guitars, electric bass, ukuleles, a TV console, and instrument accessories available for purchase.

Potomac Music states that it takes pride in conducting business honestly and ethically, and that it strives to improve the quality of its services, products, and operations while maintaining a reputation for honesty, fairness, respect, responsibility, integrity, trust, and sound business judgment. Its managers, employees, and professional teaching staff are expected to adhere to high standards of business and personal integrity as a representation of its business practices.

Potomac Music is an internationally accredited Kindermusik studio, and its Kindermusik program was named a 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Top Program by Kindermusik International. It is part of a community at Workhouse Arts Center that includes galleries, arts studios, dance and theatre programs, and outdoor activities and events, and it partners with area schools, businesses, and neighbors in Lorton, Virginia.
