STEM exCEL Enrichment Center

STEM exCEL Enrichment Center offers technology-based afterschool programs, homeschooling courses, weekend workshops, events, and Computer & Coding Clubs. The program offers the full spectrum of technology, including hardware programming, software programming, design, and art. Summer registration is open at a new larger location.

• Ages: 5–11 years old

Along with experienced professionals, instructors are US and international college students majoring in Computer Science, Computer Game Design, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, and other related fields. The program focuses on elementary-age students. Its mission is to provide young students a positive introduction to STEM topics, to help them develop a comfort level with technology, to inspire them to embrace technology as a hobby and interest, and to facilitate a community of like-minded students via Computer & Coding Clubs at local elementary schools. STEM exCEL plans Fall, Winter, and Spring 2026–2027 programs with PTAs at children’s schools and assists Northern Virginia elementary school PTAs, school administrations, and homeschooling communities in developing Computer & Coding Clubs.
