UMS Martial Arts Taekwondo offers martial arts programs that include Taekwondo, Hapkido, Children + Young Adult Taekwondo, Adult Taekwondo, and Adult Hapkido. The program also offers an after school program, a summer camp, a Taekwondo camp, martial arts programs for children and adults, a karate after school program, an after school karate program, before school day care, after school day care, and day care. Family classes allow parents and children, as well as siblings of different ages, to take class together.

UMS Martial Arts was started in 2001 by Grandmaster Um. Grandmaster Um received his Bachelor's degree in Martial Arts at Yong-In University and taught in the Korean special forces. The mission of UMS Martial Arts states that it is guaranteed to provide students a well-rounded education in Taekwondo and Hapkido, and that students of all ages and walks of life are able to benefit from martial arts training by applying themselves to martial arts instruction and philosophy to attain skills for self improvement, build self-confidence, and learn how to defend themselves. The program describes Tae Kwon Do as the most widely practiced martial art in the world and notes that it has been a full medal Olympic sport since 2000, using powerful kicking and skilled leg movements to overcome one or more opponents. It defines Hapkido as the way of harmony and force, or the art of coordinated power, and states that Hapkido teaches self confidence and self-discipline and that when a fight is unavoidable, self-defense is the answer.
