The program is supervised by officers within the Harrisonburg Police Department and other volunteers. Residents of the City of Harrisonburg are given priority for enrollment, though applicants from other jurisdictions are considered. Applicants must be 11 to 15 years old, be enrolled in a public or private school, maintain at least a “C” grade point average, provide their latest report card for verification, and be of good ethical and moral character in school and in the community.
