Moonlit Wings Productions was founded by Artistic Director and Executive Producer Walid Chaya in 2008. Its educational division produces performing arts classes and camps for all ages, available online and in Fairfax County, VA and Los Angeles, CA. The program’s services are led by award-winning creatives working in the entertainment industry across Los Angeles, New York City, and the greater Washington, DC area, and its productions have won awards worldwide.
Moonlit Wings Productions creates colorful content for the stage and screen as well as educational programs that champion multicultural, gender-diverse, and musical stories. It offers full production services for theater, film, television, and new media, and is also known for SUPERnova Casting, an in-house casting division used to book authentic performers from the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. The company produces modern and creative curriculums for acting and technical production, can create a program especially for a group, and also trains educators to work with performers and self-produce productions.
These programs are winners of Washington Family Magazine’s 2020 “Best for Families” contest in the categories of “Best Arts Program” and “Best Children’s Theatre & Drama Instruction,” and Moonlit Wings is a two-time winner of “Best Arts Program” and “Best Children’s Theatre/ Drama Instruction” from Washington Family Magazine. A program supervisor at Spring Hill Recreation Center described Moonlit Wings as a wonderful addition to their programming and noted that children and campers love the camps and classes. Parents from the performing arts summer camp described the drama camps as well run, very well organized, and “awesome,” and several parents said their children had a fantastic time and gave the camp “five stars.”
