Reggio’s Treehouse

Reggio’s Treehouse offers infants and young toddlers, toddlers, twos, preschool, and pre-kindergarten/kindergarten programs. Children explore through their five senses, hands-on materials for art, music, dance, science, and dramatic play, and playful project work in literacy, music, art, math, and real-life experiences. The program also includes learning experiences and provocations based on children’s interests, questions, and ideas, along with foreign language, dance, music, yoga, sports, and community service as enrichment services integrated into the curriculum.

• Infants and Young Toddlers — Fittone & Radici. Children explore and learn through their five senses in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Toddlers — Gambo. For new walkers; supports communication, social, emotional, cognitive, and gross motor skills.
• Twos Program — Foglia. Hands-on learning with materials for art, music, dance, science, and dramatic play.
• Preschool Program — Alberello I. Exposes children to literacy, music, art, math, and real-life experiences through playful project work.
• Pre-kindergarten / Kindergarten — Alberello II. Learning experiences and provocations based on children's interests, questions, and ideas.

About the provider

Reggio’s Treehouse was born in 2017. Ms. Ayesha is the educator founder, and Kashef Mahmud is the business founder. The mission of Reggio’s Treehouse is to guide the intellectual curiosity of students and prepare them to become self-directed learners who have a positive image of themselves, their peers, and a deep respect for their environment. Ms. Ayesha completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Linguistics in 1997, completed advanced education credits from The Buck Institute for Education and the University of Aurora, Chicago, and completed 41 hours of training at Harvard University in “Teaching for Understanding: Focus on Student Understanding.” She is certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and is a teacher trainer for Project Based Learning (PBL) from the Buck Institute.

The Reggio Emilia philosophy teaches children to become self-directed learners and encourages self-expression and critical thinking. The programs are customized to a child’s progress, needs, and age. Purposeful play, hands-on learning, and project-based learning are emphasized.
