• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 6:30am–6:30pm

Reggio’s Treehouse was founded in 2017 as a venture of an educator and a business owner. The educator founder, Ms. Ayesha, completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Linguistics in 1997, along with advanced education credits from The Buck Institute for Education and the University of Aurora in Chicago. She completed 41 hours of training at Harvard University in “Teaching for Understanding: Focus on Student Understanding,” is certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), and is a teacher trainer for Project Based Learning from the Buck Institute. Her career in education began over 20 years ago as an assistant teacher in South Riding, VA, and she has established and concurrently operated two pre-primary and primary Reggio Emilia/International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, playing an integral role in obtaining IB authorization for all three levels of the IB program. The leadership team includes educator founder Ms. Ayesha, business founder Kashef Mahmud, and multiple site directors such as Tammy DeGrange at Reggio’s Treehouse at Lansdowne and others at additional Reggio’s Treehouse and partner locations.

Reggio’s Treehouse states that it aims to guide the intellectual curiosity of its students and prepare them to become self-directed learners who have a positive image of themselves and their peers and a deep respect for their environment. The program notes that it embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy, which teaches children to become self-directed learners and whose guiding principles encourage self-expression and critical thinking. Reggio’s Treehouse also offers a Summer Camp 2026 for ages 0–12 years. In terms of broader involvement, Reggio’s Treehouse has led workshops in Kuala Lampur for the Malaysian government and has served as a panelist to discuss the needs of education in the 21st century at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos in collaboration with Penn State University.
