Potomac Music offers private lessons, Kindermusik, group classes, and summer camps that include activities such as piano lessons, singing lessons, ukulele basics, rhythmic dictation, ensemble skills, games, indoor moving activities, and arts & crafts. The program also offers Winter Ukulele Camp, Single Day Camps, and instrument rentals for band and orchestra instruments and full sized guitars for use in lessons, as well as orchestra at school support. Students have access to Boston Pianos designed by Steinway & Sons, Yamaha digital pianos, a Roland digital baby grand piano, professional audio equipment, and electric and acoustic guitars, electric bass, and ukuleles, along with method books, music, and supplies from brands including Kun, Everest, D'Addario, and DR Strings.

• Price: Your first 30-minute private lesson at Potomac Music is $40 for first time clients. Monthly lesson plans (Monthly Class Pass) are $209 per month for 30-minute lessons. Annual plans (Musicians Journey Membership) are $189 per month for 30-minute lessons. Drop-in lessons are billed at $65 per 30-minute lesson.
Potomac Music opened in Lorton Station Town Center in January 2020 and is co-owned by John Morrison and Annie Matis. The studio includes 11 oversized, newly renovated lesson rooms with floor to ceiling windows, fast Internet, a diaper changing table, and comfortable waiting areas, and is located in a cozy shopping center with free parking, a public playground, restaurants and coffee shops, a doctor's office and pharmacy, and walkable access to VRE and bus stops.
Potomac Music states that it takes pride in conducting business honestly and ethically, and that it strives to improve the quality of its services, products, and operations while maintaining a reputation for honesty, fairness, respect, responsibility, integrity, trust, and sound business judgment. Potomac Music is an internationally accredited Kindermusik studio and was named a 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Top Program by Kindermusik International. The program notes that it is fortunate to be part of a thriving community in Lorton, Virginia and partners with area schools, businesses, and neighbors to strengthen the community. The studio also offers 2026 Summer Camp Early Enrollment with an Early Bird discount on enrollment.
