About
Arts Exploration Camp introduces campers to drawing, painting, movement, music, storytelling, and creative play. The program offers weekly engaging themes in chronological order: Fantasy, Space, Safari, Circus, Underwater, and Superhero/Anime. Campers can focus on visual arts, performing arts, or a mix of both through these activities.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Camps run weekly from June 15–July 24.
Ages 5–8 spend the morning in visual arts and the afternoon in performing arts. Ages 9–12 can choose visual arts all day, performing arts all day, or a mix of both. Arts Exploration Camp is presented by Actors Theatre at the ARTfactory and is guided by professional teaching artists. The ARTfactory was founded in 1984. The ARTfactory’s mission is to enrich the creative community by engaging people of all ages, celebrating diversity, fostering innovation, and cultivating collaboration and communication, and it offers community outreach programs including Arts on the Go™ and ARTful Wellness with UVA Health.
