Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation Programs offers a wide range of seasonal options, with over 700 programs available each season. The programs take place across a variety of park and recreation settings that include two rivers, numerous parks, athletic facilities, and trails.

Chesterfield County and Virginia State University (VSU) host a “Day On, Not a Day ...” event in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Chesterfield County and Virginia State University also present the Black History Month (BHM) 2026 Celebration.
