The program also includes specialized options called fat tire, the blast, and summit leadership.

The camp is associated with Peak Midlothian, which has sculpted concrete walls with dozens of roped climbs up to 50 feet, bouldering routes up to 9 feet tall, several Auto Belay Devices, a Party Room and Rainbow Ladder for parties and group events, an upstairs mezzanine with a TRX setup, a climbing training area with a variety of hang-boards, and fitness equipment. The program states that its mission is to help young people grow by building real-world confidence, leadership, and teamwork through challenge, exploration, and accomplishment. The staff is described as handpicked for their skill, energy, and ability to connect with kids, and every team member is trained to guide each camper through every step of their adventure. The camp notes a counselor-to-camper ratio of four campers per counselor and states that campers are prepared mentally and physically for each activity. Passages Adventure Camp is led by Camp Director Arden Varley-Twyman and is celebrating 33 years of adventure. A Rock & River parent in 2023 described the program as a really special experience and reported seeing their camper challenged and confident in his success, and stated that they were impressed by the entire Passages program and planned to return the next summer.
