About

Campers take part in day camp programs that include options like Base Camp, Rock + River, Advanced Kayak, Advanced Climb, Wilderness Survival, Fat Tire, The Blast, and Summit Leadership.
• Ages: 6–16 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm
Passages Adventure Camps is associated with Peak Midlothian and Peak Richmond climbing facilities. The camp is celebrating 33 years of adventure. The mission of Passages Adventure Camps is to help young people grow—building real-world confidence, leadership, and teamwork through challenge, exploration, and accomplishment. Every team member is trained and ready to guide each camper through every step of their adventure, and the staff is handpicked for their skill, energy, and ability to connect with kids. Each counselor works with just four campers, and campers are prepared mentally and physically for each activity. All equipment is high-quality, well-maintained, and built to handle the demands of the activities. Programs include Base Camp for ages 6–8, Rock + River for ages 8–15, Advanced Kayak for ages 12–16, Advanced Climb for ages 12–16, Wilderness Survival for ages 12–16, Fat Tire for ages 10–16, The Blast for ages 11–15, and Summit Leadership for ages 14–15. The Camp Director, Arden Varley-Twyman, is a former camper who went through the entire program, all five levels, starting as a CIT. A Rock & River parent in 2023 described the camp as “a really special experience” and shared that they were proud of their camper and impressed by the entire Passages program.
