New York School of Arts (NYSA) offers classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, crafts, cooking art, and fashion and sewing. The program also includes Digital Art options such as Digital Illustration, Digital Animation, Concept Art, and Graphic Design, along with logo design, brand identity development, layout design, basic UX/UI design, and prototyping with Figma. Students can take classes in areas such as Drawing & Painting, Oil and Acrylic Painting, Fashion & Sewing, Pottery, and Digital Art.

New York School of Arts (NYSA) is a premier art education institute founded in 2009 by artists and educators and later expanded to the Washington D.C. area in February 2019 as part of a merger with Open Art Studio in Fairfax, Virginia. NYSA offers engaging classes for learners from age 3 through adults, including an after-school art program and enrichment programs tailored for nearby schools serving Pre-K to Grade 6 students in areas such as art, sculpture, craft, digital illustration, and pottery. The Middle School Art Program for ages 11–14 offers two courses that provide a foundation in visual arts and prepare students for artistic competitions, and the Digital Art Program for ages 11–17 covers Digital Illustration, Digital Animation, Concept Art, and Graphic Design. High School Art Portfolio Prep is available for ages 13 and above to build a characterized portfolio for art college admissions and university supplementary materials, and an Adult Art Program for ages 18–99 offers a variety of classes.
NYSA’s mission states that it nurtures talented artists for the 4th Industrial Revolution and takes a holistic approach to cultivating students who draw, create designs, and design clothes while exploring art from different perspectives and cultures. The mission also states that NYSA promises to continue and nourish artistic pioneers comparable to the greats. NYSA instructors include active professors teaching at art schools, and students receive portfolio guidance from professors of their target colleges.
The leadership and teaching team includes KJ Lee (Portfolio Development and College Counseling, portfolio reviewer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, with an MFA in Painting from SAIC and an MA in Art Education), Ann Pan (Portfolio Development and Adult Painting, artist and co-founder of Chameleon Gallery, with an MFA from the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting), and Kay Yunkyoung Cho (Portfolio Development and Sculpture, fiber and installation artist with an MFA from the Rinehart School of Sculpture). Additional instructors include Yunzi Liu (Graphic Design, MFA in Graphic Design from Maryland Institute College of Art), Yerke Abuova (Portfolio Development and Fine Art, visual artist with a BFA from Cornell University), Ying Han (Portfolio Development and Art Competition Prep, adjunct faculty at Maryland Institute College of Art with BFA and MFA in Graphic Design from MICA), Dominic Lapi (Digital Art, digital artist, game designer, concept artist with a BFA in Game Design/Game Development), Jinnie Jung (Portfolio Development and Fine Art, BFA in Fine Art from Kookmin University), and Joe Granski (Portfolio Development and Fine Art, Adult Arts and Oil Painting, fine artist with a BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design).
