New York School of Arts (NYSA) offers classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, crafts, cooking art, fashion and sewing, still life foundation, fine art, and art competition preparation. The program also includes digital illustration, digital animation, concept art, graphic design, drawing and painting, oil and acrylic painting, pottery for teens, and digital art using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma. NYSA provides engaging classes for everyone from 3-year-olds to adults, including an after-school art program and a middle school art program that prepares students for artistic competitions, as well as a high school art portfolio preparation program and an adult art program for both beginners and experienced artists.

New York School of Arts (NYSA) was founded in 2009 and expanded to the Washington D.C. area in February 2019 as part of a merger with Open Art Studio in Fairfax, Virginia. NYSA instructors are active professors teaching at some of the most prestigious art schools in the nation, and the faculty includes current professors from prestigious art colleges throughout the country. The leadership team includes KJ Lee for portfolio development and college counseling, Ann Pan for portfolio development and adult painting, Kay Yunkyoung Cho for portfolio development and sculpture, Yunzi Liu for graphic design, Yerke Abuova for portfolio development in fine art, Ying Han for portfolio development and art competition preparation, Dominic Lapi for digital art, and Jinnie Jung for portfolio development in fine art, along with additional faculty in areas such as fine art, mixed media, graphic design, adult arts, digital illustration, game design, and animation. NYSA’s mission states that it nurtures talented artists for the 4th Industrial Revolution, takes a holistic approach to students’ artistic journeys, and aims to cultivate students who explore art from different perspectives and cultures. NYSA also offers enrichment programs tailored for nearby schools serving Pre-K to Grade 6 students, with classes in art, sculpture, craft, digital illustration, and pottery.
