About

Fauquier County 4-H Summer Programs offers a fun-filled week-long residential summer camp that includes activities such as riflery, robotics, canoeing, and rock climbing. The program also includes hands-on activities in market research, developing a brand, marketing products, and selling those products at the Warrenton Farmer's Market.

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Week-long residential summer camp

The camp takes place at the Loudoun - Fauquier 4-H Camp, which is American Camp Association Accredited. Campers take part in a variety of wonderful, fun, exciting, and educational hands-on activities in a socially-positive environment. Through these activities, campers learn life skills such as independence, responsibility, and sharing. The program is designed to foster entrepreneurship skills and gives youth an opportunity to put those skills into action and earn money, with the program culminating in selling their products at the Warrenton Farmer's Market. The 4-H Next Generation Farmer's Market is a collaborative effort between the Warrenton Farmers Market and Fauquier Cooperative Extension. Virginia Cooperative Extension is a partnership of Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and local governments. The camp operates under the guidance of caring, trained, professional staff.
