Camp LIGHT is a summer day camp program for individuals with special needs and at-risk youth. It is offered to families at no cost, and the program is available for ages 6 to 18. Summer camp sessions are offered as 4-day sessions, with 2026 dates listed from June 8-11 through July 27-30.

About the provider
Scott and Cathy Balsley are the project founders. Camp LIGHT is run by volunteers and is supported through donations, foundations, grants, and annual fundraisers like a live auction, cruise in, and Christmas Wonderland. Its mission is to show kids with special needs and circumstances that life is only limited by their imagination, and to give them new tools and skills, along with love and support, to inspire them to become anything they can dream.
Camp LIGHT is offered to families at no cost. For 2027, applications will open on January 1st, 2027, and camp dates and other details will be posted that fall.
