About

Shenandoah Area Council Scouting Programs offers Scouting America programs for boys and girls. The council publishes a 2026 program calendar that lists all of the programs and activities scheduled in the Shenandoah Area Council for 2026. Registration is open for the 2026 National Jamboree through the council.

• Schedule: Council shops have weekday hours in Winchester and Hagerstown
• Price: The 2026 National Jamboree national pricing increases by $240.

Beginning January 2, 2026, the Winchester council shop is open from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday and from 9 AM to 12 PM on Friday, and it is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The Hagerstown shop is open from 11 AM to 6 PM Monday through Thursday and is closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Effective January 5, 2026, the council is transitioning to Black Pug for all event registration and facility reservations.

The Shenandoah Area Council is part of Scouting America, which provides the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training and uses the phrase “Prepared. For Life.™”. The council is comprised of four service districts: Potomac, Shawnee, Shenrapawa, and Mason Dixon. Nearly 1,000 volunteers support Scouting experiences for over 2,500 youth and their families every year. Over 100 local organizations charter use of the Scouting program in over 150 units. The Scouting organization includes 2.7 million youth members between the ages of 7 and 21 and more than a million volunteers in local councils throughout the United States and its territories.

The Shenandoah Area Council includes three counties in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (Morgan, Berkeley, and Jefferson), six counties in the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia (Frederick, Clarke, Shenandoah, Warren, Rappahannock, and Page), two counties in Pennsylvania (Fulton and Franklin), and one county in Maryland (Washington). The council lists Camp Rock Enon and Camp Sinoquipe as camps and maintains council, Rock Enon, and Sinoquipe Facebook pages.
