Classes are taught by professional athletes with over 20 years of experience, and the youth program includes groups for students aged 7–11 and 12–17.
• Ages: 7–17 years old
• Schedule: Youth Martial Arts class offered at 5:30 pm
The leadership team includes gym owner and coach Cain Spaulding, Muay Thai coach Josh Chinchen, coach Alex Welch, boxing coach Dakota Alvey, coach Tim Harris, and coach Jaiden “Thunder” Bundy. Coaches have over 60 years of combined experience and have trained all over the world with well-known figures in MMA, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The curriculum is drawn from multiple traditional and modern martial arts disciplines, including Muay Thai, MMA, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and the program is built for athletes on the path to sanctioned competition. High-energy boxing classes are designed for all skill levels, and students can train under Dakota Alvey, a Golden Gloves Champion and former nationally ranked boxer.
Cain Spaulding started training mixed martial arts under Bob Anderson in 1993, and several of Lance Gibson’s students, including Cain, later opened their own gym. Dakota Alvey is a Golden Gloves Champion, Silver Gloves Champion, four-time Junior Olympic Gold Medalist, and was ranked 5th in North America at the peak of his amateur boxing career. Jaiden “Thunder” Bundy earned the title of WKA National Kickboxing Champion in 2025, received an invitation to represent Team USA at the World Championships in 2026, has been a member of the Washington State Coaches Association for the past five years, and traveled to Thailand to train and study Muay Thai as both an athlete and a coach.
The program’s stated mission includes instilling youth with discipline, self control, and confidence, and setting children on a path of goal-setting, persistence, and a lifetime of positive skills and healthy habits. Cain Spaulding describes his greatest reward in owning, operating, and coaching as encouraging and building other people’s confidence in life. Alexander’s class focuses on helping young athletes master basic fundamentals to build a foundation for future success, with students learning respect and responsibility that comes from learning martial arts, while maintaining emphasis on hard work and discipline. Josh’s coaching style emphasizes classes that are fun, challenging, and accessible to all levels, and he focuses on helping students grow both technically and mentally through Muay Thai. Wrestling remains a cornerstone of Jaiden’s development, and for the past five years he has coached middle school and high school athletes, using sport to teach accountability, discipline, and grit while helping young wrestlers build confidence on and off the mat. At the core of Jaiden’s coaching is a purpose-driven philosophy in which he coaches to develop people first, using martial arts to build character, self-discipline, and emotional control.
