About

Whatcom FC Rangers is a premier club soccer program where players take part in soccer, advanced training, individual skill work, competitive exposure, leadership development, and community service. The program also includes indoor soccer and futsal options, along with yearly seminars and workshops for high school age players who are interested in attending college and exploring ways to continue playing soccer after their youth careers.

• Price: Using a single membership fee model, WFC Rangers remains one of the most cost-effective competitive clubs in the country.

With four decades of tradition, Whatcom FC Rangers is one of Washington State’s longest-standing clubs and has a history of helping players grow from the local fields of Whatcom County to the highest levels of the game. The club’s top teams compete in Washington Youth Soccer’s Regional Club League (RCL) and in MLS NEXT, which is described as the nation’s premier youth platform offering exposure to top competition and collegiate scouting opportunities. The program offers progressive pathways through local and regional leagues and tournaments, uses a single membership fee model, and offers scholarships and flexible payment plans.

The premier coaching staff is led by a Technical Director and three Directors of Coaching, and includes nationally licensed, experienced college coaches and former professional players. The leadership team includes Jamie Arthurs (WWU Assistant Women’s Coach, Rangers Girls DOC, Girls College Advisor), Josh Braun (Rangers Boys DOC, Boys College Advisor), and Travis Connell (WWU Head Women’s Coach, WFC Rangers Technical Advisor). The club’s mission states that it partners with the community to promote teamwork, collaborative effort, and challenge-seeking while developing each athlete’s unique possibility, and that it engages athletes and their families in a team experience in an ambitious, positive environment rooted in inclusivity, integrity, and lasting memories. The mission also states that the club promotes player growth through competitive challenge to build confidence, ability, and strong character on and off the field, providing players opportunities to be the best version of themselves. Beyond soccer, the program includes leadership development and community service as part of its community involvement.
