The Issaquah Baseball Club is a select baseball program for kids ages 8–12 who play in the Issaquah Little League, and children playing in Issaquah Baseball Club must live within the Issaquah School District boundary. Issaquah Baseball Club is described as ideal for the multi-sport athlete, as the schedule is not so demanding that other activities have to be cut, and most boys involved in Issaquah Baseball Club play at least one other sport, including basketball, hockey, and football. All age groups participate in one to two tournaments per year that require hotel stays, with trips relatively close by, and past destinations include Yakima, Wenatchee, and Vancouver, Washington, with the 12U level culminating in one trip to play in a tournament in Arizona. Concussion form and Code of conduct are listed as forms necessary for play.

The Issaquah Baseball Club leadership team includes President Ken Hunziker; VP/Secretary Sicily Graham; Treasurer Brooke Sullivan; Equipment & Uniforms lead Matt Brown; Training lead Alex Justus; Communication lead Koji Pupo; Tournaments lead Ryan Carter; and At Large members Jared Carvalho, Bob Niemann, Kyle Buckner, Michael Gray, and Arik Van Zandt. The mission of Issaquah Baseball Club is to provide Issaquah’s most talented 8- to 12-year-old baseball players opportunities for higher-level skill development, competition, and commitment to the game; create a well-rounded baseball player; develop physical, mental, and emotional skills and teach fundamental game strategies; prepare kids to play competitive baseball after age 12; and provide the Issaquah community (kids and families) an experience that promotes sportsmanship, instruction, teamwork, and respect for and enjoyment of the game of baseball.

The Issaquah Baseball Club is the only local select baseball organization that builds its schedule to complement Issaquah Little League, enriching a classic American tradition by keeping top players in Little League while affording them the opportunity to develop by participating in next-level, supplemental play. Issaquah Baseball Club is Little League-friendly and works with Issaquah Little League to maintain a symbiotic relationship, and it states that it provides the Issaquah community (kids and families) an experience that promotes sportsmanship, instruction, teamwork, and respect for and enjoyment of the game of baseball.

One parent and founding board member, Kyle Buckner, states that Issaquah Baseball Club is Little League-friendly and works with Issaquah Little League to maintain a symbiotic relationship that helps protect kids’ arm health and allows kids to play Little League while also competing at a higher level at non-conflicting times. Another parent, James Hawk, describes Issaquah Baseball Club as insisting that players are or become good teammates and emphasizes camaraderie in the dugout as part of “the IBC way.” Parent Alisa Lawrence describes Issaquah Baseball Club as a great fit for her family, saying it has developed her kids’ knowledge and skill for the game and built their confidence, and that their family has made life-long friendships through the club. Issaquah High School varsity baseball coach Rob Reese notes that he has seen the first wave of Issaquah Baseball Club players make and contribute to the Issaquah High School varsity baseball team and describes Issaquah Baseball Club as a great organization for the development of future Issaquah High School baseball players that works with Issaquah Little League for the betterment of young baseball players.
