Charisma School of Dance offers ballet and tap classes at the Charisma School of Dance studio. Families can also take a free trial class to try a class for free. Classes are available for all styles, levels, and ages, including adults, and dancewear is sold at Charisma School of Dance.

Charisma School of Dance was founded in 1998 in Lakewood, WA by Erin Fay. Ms. Erin opened Charisma at the age of twenty two and is the Artistic Director and Owner. Ms. Erin began her dance studies at eight years of age, became an assistant and substitute teacher at eleven, and by fourteen was a teacher at Suburban Dance Studio in Puyallup, where she studied with Ms. Valli Hale and Tony Gamlieli. She has studied at Tacoma City Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and was a private student of Kabby Mitchell. She has also studied at Dance on Capitol Hill, Spectrum Dance Theater, Westlake Dance Center, and during spring break at Tremaine Dance Studio in Los Angeles with Joe Tremaine, Barry Lathers, and Marguerite Derricks. Ms. Erin is a national and an international award winning choreographer.
The school’s mission states that an aspiring performer can build a strong foundation and realize their dreams, and that Ms. Erin’s dream was to own a school that was welcoming and encouraging to all dancers of every age, body style, and ability. The mission also states that it is important to Ms. Erin that her school supports diversity and inclusion of all the dancers who walk through her studio doors. One parent, Amanda Ward, says that Charisma has helped her daughter find a passion for dance, that the teachers are kind, skilled, and fun, and that she loves the culture of Charisma. An adult student, Kimi Clark, says Charisma School of Dance is a great studio for any age and experience, that she started tap in her early 40s and continues to learn new skills every week, and that she has experienced many instructors teaching all ages and styles of dance at the studio.
