Lakewood Steilacoom DuPont Soccer Club Micro Soccer introduces kids to the game of soccer through ball play and games. As part of the club’s Micro Soccer (U5/U6) program, kids learn the game in a fun environment with a lot of touches on the ball and a general introduction to how soccer is played. Teams are generally coached by a volunteer parent who is on the field with the kids during games, and the program is coed and non-competitive so every child participates according to his or her own comfort level.
• Ages: 4–5 years old
• Schedule: Games begin the weekend after Labor Day in September and the season ends the weekend before Thanksgiving in November.
The mission of the Lakewood Steilacoom DuPont Soccer Club is to educate and promote development of local youth to achieve their maximum potential through the sport of soccer, promoting skill development, tactical awareness, mental toughness, physical fitness, leadership, love of the game, sportsmanship, respect, and fair play.
