About

SchoolTutoring Academy – Private Tutoring for Kids and Young Learners offers one-on-one instruction that can include math games, puzzles, creative activities that develop a student’s natural curiosities, homework help, prep for a test, and exam review. Tutoring programs can also focus on study skills, memorization skills, test taking strategies, organizational concepts, and computer science topics such as coding, logic, and computer skills. The Young Learner program uses highly interactive lessons, and tutoring is provided on a one-on-one basis in a nurturing environment that encourages students to ask for additional assistance and work through problems at their own pace.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Programs run 7 days a week.

SchoolTutoring Academy’s kids tutoring programs are aligned with local school district standards, and tutors are familiar with state and district standards. Pre-K and Kindergarten tutors are available, and elementary school tutoring programs in math and reading are tailored to the student’s grade level and ability. The Computer Science tutoring program teaches coding, logic, and computer skills as part of a comprehensive tutoring offering across subjects. Every student is paired with both a private tutor and an Academic Director, and the tutoring follows a three-step approach of academic assessment, a personalized plan, and continual evaluation and adjustment. Programs include regular, detailed progress reports for parents, as well as archived copies of lessons, and tutors are available outside of normal tutoring hours to answer questions. Tutoring is offered anytime, 7 days a week, with one-on-one instruction in the comfort and privacy of the student’s home, and there are also summer programs with Summer packages, affordable assessments and learning programs to fit different budgets, and flexible learning programs for educational institutions.

SchoolTutoring Academy tutors are qualified educators with four-year-college Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and are college-trained, many with extensive teaching experience. Tutors are highly-qualified K–12 and university educators, and many have graduated from academic institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, and Duke, with many having achieved in the 90th percentile or higher on standardized tests. Tutors undergo verification of credentials as well as background checks, and some teachers have experience in educating children with learning disabilities such as ADD and ADHD. YoungStars tutors are specially trained to work with young learners.

Parents have reported that SchoolTutoring Academy has played an important role in improving their children’s confidence and attitude towards school, with grades improving steadily throughout the school year. One parent noted that an Academic Director created an action plan that boosted a student’s SAT score and confidence level, and another reported an SAT score increase of 200 points. Parents have also described improvements in standardized test scores, high school math and English grades, and specific gains in areas like the math section of the SAT and ACT fundamentals. Several parents mentioned that their children began to look forward to tutoring sessions, including in math, and that homework time at home became less stressful. One parent of a first grader shared that their child moved from being almost a year behind in basic reading and handwriting to reading above grade level within a year of enrollment, with confidence to match.
