Mariners Training Centers offers team training, camps, clinics, tournaments, 1-on-1 lessons, a Powered By program, and a mailing list signup. The program uses a combination of teaching, training, and technology in baseball and softball. Mariners Training Centers operates as part of a network of community-centric baseball and softball programs and state-of-the-art instructional facilities.
• Schedule: Options Monday to Friday from 3pm–8pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9am–5pm
Mariners Training Centers is part of the national EL1 Sports network of training academies. Each center includes turf, netting, performance enhancement equipment, configurable training stations, and technology such as HitTrax, Rapsodo, and Diamond Kinetics. Mariners Training Center instructors have experience in professional and/or collegiate baseball and softball, and the program maintains a low instructor-to-athlete ratio. The curriculum is customized and was developed through collaboration with a master’s-level educator. The program includes a Powered By program that offers administrative support and supplemental and specialized instruction for teams. Mariners Training Centers has a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball and is the proud youth baseball and softball training partner of MLB.
The mission of Mariners Training Centers is based on a partnership between EL1 Sports and the Seattle Mariners to create a network of community-centric baseball and softball programs and instructional facilities. The mission statement describes a focus on teaching, training, and technology in baseball, softball, and life, including team training, camps, clinics, tournaments, and 1-on-1 lessons for athletes from different backgrounds. The Mariners Training Centers years of operation are listed as © 2023 - 2026. The program states a commitment to expanding recruitment to create a diversified instructor base and provides anti-bias training for all instructors.
Through its Powered By support, Mariners Training Centers currently works with about 200 youth teams in the state of Washington. EL1 and the Mariners state that they are working together to grow the game through access to baseball and softball facilities and instruction for players of different skill levels and socioeconomic backgrounds. One parent testimonial notes, “Very positive coaches in this program. They get the best out of the player and don’t make winning a game the end of the world.”
