About the provider
Back in August 2012, an empty warehouse at 5050 Delridge sparked an idea to turn it into something special. What started out as West Seattle Fight and Fitness evolved into what is now Combat Arts Academy. The program's mission says it is dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, and its students discuss how to handle bullies, life skills, being a friend, and cooperating with others.
The ages may be subjective. Those on the line for either class will start in the younger class and work their way into the older class. If your child starts to disengage from class or show a lack of interest, schedule a meeting to chat about goals and different class options. Safety is our number one priority.
What families say
“The owner of the gym is building a culture where inclusivity is more than just a concept, it's a way of life. Where you can be trans, genderqueer, a woman, a kid, a mom, an older person, whatever, and you're welcome...I've never had a community like this before and y'all are the ones that built the space for it to happen.” — Stacey M.
“Finding a gym that caters to an entire family’s needs is rare, but CAA has mastered it. We’ve been training here for years, and it’s become a cornerstone of our family routine...My husband also loves the training and consistently gets a fantastic workout.... It is truly unheard of to find a place that fits all of us so well. Highly recommended!” — Sarah Y.
“Combat Arts Academy is hands down one of the best Muay Thai gyms around. The environment is super welcoming and supportive no matter your experience level. Whether you’re a total beginner or advanced, you’ll feel right at home here... Great training, great people, and a great place to grow. Highly recommend.” — Jorge F.
