Roaring Mouse Creative Arts Studio opened in 1997 and has been operating for over 28 years. Its mission is to provide opportunities to develop self confidence and awareness through artistic and creative experiences, and to enhance communication and understanding between people. The program describes a link between creativity and play as a cornerstone of its philosophy and states that students are encouraged to follow their thoughts and curiosities into other forms of expression and to experiment with combining ideas in new ways. It states that it respects and understands different learning styles, supports the unique process and growth of each student, and that all teachers are committed to giving students a chance to discover and develop their own creative potential and to find ways to share those gifts with the world.
The leadership team includes Founder and Director Lassie Webster; Program Director and Teacher Jessica Lord; Birthday Party Coordinator and Teacher Deidre Behrend; Creative Arts Teacher Marie Carson; Art Teacher Sayuri Fujiwara; Administrative Coordinator and Teacher Andrea Ichikawa; and Creative Arts and Preschool Teacher Tracy Melary.
