Seattle Volleyball Academy offers high-level quality training and player development for volleyball players. The program focuses on the development and training of proper fundamentals, mechanics, and knowledge of the game. Players can take part in private or group training with the coaching staff.
• Ages: 11–18 years old
Seattle Volleyball Academy was founded in 2021 and started with a single U12 team. It grew to 6 teams in 2022, 9 teams in 2023, and 11 teams from U12–U18 Development, Regional, and National teams for the 2025 season. The 2025 season includes the program’s first graduating class of players, and all seven players who wanted to play volleyball in college earned a scholarship to play.
The program is led by Seattle Volleyball Academy Director Genne Baleto and Director of Player Development Joe Baleto. Seattle Volleyball Academy is part of the Washington Athletic Academy along with Washington Fastpitch Academy and Washington Baseball Academy. Its stated mission is to provide high-level quality training and player development, focusing on proper fundamentals, mechanics, and knowledge of the game, and to build a program that rivals top programs outside of Seattle while striving to be a top program in the Northwest.
