Magenta Theater was founded in 2002 as a non-profit community theater. Its mission is to be a performing arts center where people connect through shared stories, artistic expression, and community-building. Magenta Theater is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization recognized by the IRS. The organization states that volunteers play a large role in its activities, including assistant directing, stage management, stagehand work, lights and sound, makeup, costumes, props, set design, set construction, house management, ushering, concessions, publicity, and clean-up crew. Magenta Theater is dedicated to giving back to the community through service projects and community involvement.
