Magenta Theater Youth Programs (MagenTOTS, Classes and Workshops)

Magenta Theater Youth Programs (MagenTOTS, Classes and Workshops) include an improv team called MIT, staged readings through Black Chair Projects, and shows performed for young audiences under the MagenTOTS name. The programs also include classes and workshops that take place as part of the theater’s youth offerings.

Founded in 2002, Magenta Theater grew from a small group of enthusiasts into a growing community theater. Its mission is to be a performing arts center where people connect through shared stories, artistic expression, and community-building. Magenta Theater is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization recognized by the IRS and is dedicated to community service projects and community involvement. Volunteers are involved in roles such as assistant director, stage management, stagehands, lights and sound technicians, makeup, costumes, props, set design, set construction, house management, ushering, concessions, publicity, and clean-up crew. The theater also hosts a variety of local performance groups and offers an improv team (MIT), staged readings (Black Chair Projects), shows for young audiences (MagenTOTS), and classes and workshops.
