Moy Martial Arts & Tai Chi Academy offers training in Self-Defense (KAJUKENBO), Martial Arts, Kung Fu, Judo, kickboxing, close-quarter combat, grappling, ground fighting, and weapons defense. The program also includes Tai Chi, Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan (Taiji), Chi Gung (Qigong), and Tai Chi and Qigong (Chi Gung) described as Health and Wellness Arts from China that will improve balance, increase energy, teach stress management, and help rehabilitate joint and back problems. For children and teens, the academy offers Self Defense for Kids, Martial Arts and Bully-Proofing for Teens, Bully Proofing, Positive Life Skills, and a How-to-be-a-Leader Curriculum, along with Youth Bully Proofing workshops and Abduction Prevention workshops. The academy also provides Self-Defense-focused Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) strategies and tactics with a traditional Kung Fu, Karate and Jiu-jitsu foundation, as well as Self Defense Workshops for Women and Teen Girls, Women’s Self Defense workshops, Rape Prevention workshops, Team Building workshops, Conflict Resolution workshops, Stress-Management and Wellness workshops, Creativity KickStart workshops, Staff Safety training, and Conflict de-escalation and Resolution training.

Moy Martial Arts & Tai Chi Academy was established in 1991 and has offered Self-Defense (KAJUKENBO), Tai Chi and Chi Gung training since 1991. The academy states a mission to individually strengthen students by providing a Quality Martial Arts, Tai Chi and Chi Gung Program that will help them achieve their personal training goals, to maintain a safe, well-equipped, and clean training facility, to inspire an atmosphere of respect, integrity and courage, and to be a positive presence in the lives of students and in the community. The academy notes that due to a family medical emergency, the instructor will be taking an extended sabbatical from teaching regular group classes but is available for private classes and workshops, with limited spots available per group and family tuition rates available. Classes are available for kids, teens and adults, ages 5 and older.
Sifu Mark Moy is the owner and head instructor and has been teaching Martial Arts at his facility in Vancouver, WA (USA) for over 30 years. He is a 9th degree Black Belt in KAJUKENBO Tum Pai Kung Fu, an internationally certified instructor of Tai Chi Ch’uan and Qigong (Chi Gung), and a Certified Chief Instructor for the World Chinese Internal Martial Arts Association. He was adjunct faculty at Clark College for 20 years, where he started Tai Chi for Seniors and taught Kung Fu and Judo. Moy Academy was voted one of the Martial Arts Studio Finalists in the 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Best of Clark County, a reader poll conducted by the Columbian newspaper.
Sifu Moy has done numerous workshops for public schools, local businesses and corporations. He is described as a popular speaker with educators in public schools because of the positive message he shares with kids, and his classroom and assembly talks emphasize the importance of making good choices, taking responsibility for actions and how everyone has the power to make a difference. He has taught programs for Clark Community College, Hewlett-Packard, Bonneville Power Administration, YWCA, Washington State School for the Blind, Northwest Natural Gas Company, Legacy Hospital, Boy and Girl Scout troops, Mom’s Club of Vancouver and many community groups.
