Operation 36 Golf is a program where participants learn how to play golf and play golf using a structured on-course format. Operation 36 teaches golf in reverse, starting everyone at level 1, 25 yards from the center of the green, with the goal to shoot 36 (par) or better over 9 holes to move to level 2 at 50 yards from the green. This process continues through 6 levels until a participant can shoot 36 from the full tee box.

Operation 36 states that its mission is to make learning golf simple and social. The program is built with families in mind and is for juniors and parents, boys and girls ages 6 and up, as well as adults, ladies, men, seniors, and veterans. Participants can enroll at over 800 program locations led by expert coaches, and the program reports over 220,000 participants, over 920,000 strokes lost, and over 560,000 strokes improved. Operation 36 uses technology to guide participants every step of their golf journey and has been featured on GolfPass, where Rory McIlroy releases an Operation 36 video series.
