• Schedule: Swim and aquatics activities take place at the Jim Parsley Community Center on Fridays from 4:00pm–7:00pm, Saturdays from 9:00am–7:00pm, and Sundays from 12:00pm–3:00pm, and at the Propstra Aquatic Center Monday–Friday from 7:00am–1:00pm; the JPCC pool is available to rent on Saturday evenings from 7:30pm–8:30pm and Sunday afternoons from 3:30pm–4:30pm; the JPCC Free Food Pantry is open one Thursday per month from October through May from 1:30pm–2:30pm on the listed dates for the 2025/2026 school year.
• Price: The cost to rent the Jim Parsley Community Center pool is $150 for up to 30 swimmers.
International Lifeguard Training is offered to persons 15 years of age and older. Vancouver Public Schools is partnering with Share of Vancouver and Clark County Food Bank to host free food pantries each month from October through May, and these pantries are open to all Vancouver Public Schools families. The Jim Parsley Education, Family and Community Center opened in 2001 with the guiding vision of Jim Parsley, who served as superintendent of Vancouver Public Schools from 1980 to 2002, and the center is owned and operated by Vancouver Public Schools. The JPCC pool is planned to be sunset in August 2026, and swim lessons, summer camps, and pool rentals will still be available and open to the community in June and July prior to closure, with pool rentals including pool space only and no party room available for food or gifts at this time. For rock wall and gym use, participants are asked to bring their own equipment in good condition, and for pool rentals the responsible party must read and accept rental terms and conditions and make reservations by the Thursday before the scheduled rental date. For free food pantry pickup, families are asked to show a Clark County Food Bank intake card if they have one or provide the names and birthdays of all people in their household.
