Smart Girls Rock is a day-long, interactive mentoring event. The program takes place within the workplace of a regional STEM employer and focuses on mentoring activities with STEM professionals.

The event’s stated goal is to inspire students’ interest in STEM careers, connect them with the Fox Cities science community, and provide academic and career planning guidance. Smart Girls Rock is part of the work of the Fox Cities Chamber Regional Partnership, whose mission is to enhance the local economy, expand economic opportunity, and improve the quality of life for local residents by supporting the expansion of the local primary job base. The Fox Cities Regional Partnership was formed in 2012 as an affiliate of the Fox Cities Chamber and changed its name to Fox Cities Chamber Regional Partnership in 2023. The leadership team for the Fox Cities Chamber Regional Partnership includes Eric Broten (Director of Economic Development), Nick Oostmeyer (Manager of Business Retention and Expansion), Becky Bartoszek (President / CEO at Fox Cities Chamber), and Jon Turke (Vice President of Government Affairs).
