Hendricks CareerTek offers activities that include Career Exploration, Job Shadow experiences, Youth Apprenticeship, and Microbadge opportunities, along with resume and cover letter writing and finance. The program also includes Biz Tank, Craftsmen & Women of Character, college support with application assistance, essay writing, and FAFSA preparation, as well as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and healthcare exploration options such as SCRUBS and Intro to Healthcare – Middle School. Students can take part in field trips, special events like Dare To Dream and Today’s Dreamers Tomorrow’s Leaders, Innovation Sprint, Programming with Spike Prime, BYO Boardgame, Summer Academies, and hands-on trades experiences in areas such as carpentry, concrete, masonry, demolition, surveying, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, paving, precast, roofing, heavy equipment, cranes, fire protection, and building design.

Hendricks CareerTek states its mission as providing career exploration, career development, and career opportunities to youth in the Greater Beloit community. The leadership team includes Executive Director Susan Day, Director of Trades and Innovation Will Davis, Career Development Director Kelly Bosen, Director of Healthcare Development Ashley Korbol, and Administrative Assistant Dessa Laursen. The program is described as an exciting initiative by the Hendricks Family Foundation and represents a commitment by the Hendricks Family and other leaders to innovation and education for students, including Summer Academies for career exploration for students in 6th–12th grades and conversations with professionals about their careers and how interested students might prepare themselves. It offers college, trade, and apprenticeship scholarships with an application window open until March 31, 2023.
Hendricks CareerTek is involved in Partnerships For Community Youth and responds to a stated need in the Greater Beloit region for career development and education for area youths by connecting businesses and employers through business partnerships and focusing on equipping the next generation. Testimonials describe the program as focusing on exposure, exploration, and opportunity through hands-on exploration, creating opportunities for youth to achieve “Great Futures,” guiding students based on what they want to be, and noting that student success and support for businesses are both important.
